Clinical Research:
Define evidence-based medicine through outcomes of clinical practices, surgical procedures, rehabilitative therapies and alternative therapies. In addition, determine product and instrument utilization and associated costs.
Extract information from such data, which will result in higher quality patient care, improved patient outcomes and a reduction in the costs associated with the provision of this care.
Provide staff support to clinical studies by working with physicians to design and track research projects. The staff will participate in protocol development, project design, data collection and statistical analysis.
Provide staff support to researchers who have received awards to assist in publishing research findings.
Establish and maintain a database to track the results of all research studies funded by the Foundation for use in future studies and medical education efforts.
